CASS Accountant / Specialist – FinTech startup
City of London office (4 days p/w), WFH (1 day p/w)
Up to £70k (depending on experience) + options
Exceptional opportunity for a vibrant and energetic CASS Specialist / Accountant to be responsible for handling client money within a high-growth FinTech start up.
In what is a newly created role, you will be working closely with the CFO and Compliance Manager to ensure that the business is CASS compliant whilst spearheading key business projects relating to client money. Key responsibilities:
- Support the CFO with the day to day production of data for use of the Client Money and Asset Regime (CMAR) calculations
- Management of daily CASS reconciliations
- Work with Compliance manager to maintain client money & institutional money and Asset policies, procedures and other documentation
- Ensure that the business is CASS compliant and enhance existing operational processes that ensure CASS compliance
- Be involved in key business projects that relate to Client Money and Institutional Money
- Assist with all audit work, including CASS audits
- Ad-hoc projects work
- Oversee areas of the outsourced accounting function (month end, statutory reporting, tax work), managing the relationship with external advisors / partners
Key requirements:
- FinTech / FS & CASS experience with a good understanding of regulations
- Strong accounting experience and understanding
- Strong attention to detail and determination with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
