Talentedge have been exclusively engaged by a high-profile VC backed SaaS scaleup to identify a progressive and ambitious Commercial / Financial Analyst for their expanding UK finance team.
Having placed every member of the finance team, it’s fair to say that we know the business well. If you are curious and inquisitive by nature, with strong analytical and financial modelling skills, coupled with excellent business partnering capabilities, then we’d love to hear from you!
In what is a newly created role, you will have the opportunity to shape the way that commercial finance looks, integrating as much as possible with in-house BI & Data teams. You’ll be expected to drive forward decision making and turn data generated across the business into commercial insights.
Key responsibilities:
- Implement scalable processes around budgeting, forecasting & planning
- Analyse financial & non-financial SaaS KPIs
- Build various financial models to support business decision making
- Play a lead role on the creation and review of new business cases
- Partner all functions across the business
- Work closely with sales team, providing support and guidance around contract structuring / discounting / pricing and renewals
- In time, hire and mentor a commercial finance team
Profile:
- Qualified accountant with a minimum of 1-year PQE
- Experience of working directly within an FP&A role
- SaaS experience is advantageous however non-essential. If no SaaS experience, you need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of what SaaS is & an interest in moving into the sector
- Strong financial modeller (scenario, sensitivity & 3-way integrated financial statements ideally)
- Curious mind-set
- Any exposure to Power BI/Tableau/SQL/Causal would be great however non-essential
- Comfortable explaining complex financial information to non-financial people
- Solid understanding of accounting (from a knowledge perspective)
