They are also in rapid & unprecedented growth and now require an experienced and business-facing Finance Manager to manage the commercial finance function for their UK production division.
Reporting to the Finance Director and sitting in the production business you will manage /develop a Team of in-house Finance Analysts who support the global production team on all finance-related matters/projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Working with global production finance teams to ensure consistency in production reporting & analysis and enforcing best practices across divisions
• Partnering with HOP and various Producers in strategic planning, providing general and specialized analysis
• Overseeing production finance, analysis and forecasting for the UK’s portfolio of projects on a monthly and bi-monthly reporting cycle
• Support Producers in the bidding process of a project, as well as vetting bids before being sent to a client.
• Manage a team of Analysts and oversee budget and cost reporting. Work with global teams to ensure consistent reporting and streamlined workflow.
• Oversee/ help prepare monthly revenue recognition reports.
• Provide expert knowledge in tax incentives across global sites
• Prepare cost analysis and other ad hoc reports as needed.
• Work with legal to assure local & global contracts are in place, contractual terms are followed, and payment schedules are issued in accordance with best practices.
• Provide guidance on bidding and deal strategies including scenario planning
• Oversee onboarding, coaching and training of UK finance analysts.
Required Experience/Skills:
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• A proven background in financial analysis/finance business partnering gained in a media environment (ideally TV & Film)
• Prior experience of managing /developing a finance team with a passion for getting the best out of their team
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•A passion for TV production and thrives in a creative, fast-paced industry
•Ability to quickly establish credibility with Production Managers and non-financial creative/stakeholders
• Stellar IT skills with advanced Excel.
