Based in one of their fastest-growing divisions in a sector that is now in rapid growth again and working in a fun, creative, fast-paced and uber-cool environment.
Reporting to the FD you will manage the month-end and budgeting & planning function as well as working across the business and on site at their festivals as their key financial business partner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day financial support, expertise and advice to business heads, especially on new festivals and other business development opportunities.
- Business partnering with Event/Commercial Managers preparing their financial planning for each event and providing financial analysis/modelling to track profitability/revenue.
- Prepare monthly management reporting for each event including commentary and variance analysis .
- Ensure financial systems is kept up to date and provide supporting documentation to auditors when requested.
- Responsible for all FP&A activities, e.g. preparation of budgets, forecasts and long range plans.
- Business Partner with the Event Directors and Ops team to support on event finances.
- Work with the VP of each of these events to ensure they are fully supported and have clear and concise information for decision making.
- Be the onsite eyes and ears for finance.
- Ensure all revenue planning and ops budgets are up to date and reconcilable - working with the business teams to do so, allowing for accurate pre and post-show flashes and timely close out of event finances.
- Ensure applicable taxes are accounted for appropriately by checking treatment with internal tax team.
- Own the bottom-up detailed business planning, cash flow planning& scenario analysis
- Manage a small finance team.
Required Skills:
• Newly/Recently Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Must have experience of preparing monthly management accounts and ideally some business partnering/FP&A experience
• Exposure to the events or related media & entertainment market is highly desirable
• A positive, “can-do” attitude to challenges and problem-solving situations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, people-orientated, growth environment.
• Effective communicator with good presentation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, including non-finance staff.
• A passion for music & events with a strong desire to help build, and grow within a global business.
