Financial Controller
Paying circa £65,000 + benefits and bonus (depending of experience)
Based in Central London
Talentedge are currently working on a really exciting Financial Controller role with an Independent PR & Communications agency. The company is currently going through a really exciting growth period with worldwide offices and a really forward thinking business plan and plans for further growth in 2022.
Following this impressive growth period they are looking to recruit a Financial Controller to oversee the businesses financial reporting, the role will be responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual group reporting, liaison and reporting to the bank and shareholders, the annual audit process and tax compliance.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for producing the monthly Group Consolidated Management Accounts and Board Packs
- Ownership of the group consolidation process
- Responsible for the Central functions management accounts
- Import and analysis of foreign entities management accounts
- Net working capital analysis
- Review of Balance Sheet reconciliations o Calculation of Group recharges
- Responsible for monthly intercompany reporting, generating of monthly consolidation journals
- Managing the UK and Group audit process, liaising with local auditors
- Management of completion of tax packs for Group tax advisors, liaising with, and management of relationship with, Group tax advisors
- Review of tax packs and computations before sign-off by Finance Director
- Monthly and Annual Bank reporting, including calculation and review of financial covenants
- Involvement in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process
- Provision of monthly reporting and commentary to key stakeholders including the Board and external Shareholder reporting
- Involvement in the annual Insurance renewal process
- Responsible for the Fixed Asset Register
- Responsible for the Accounts Payable function
- Responsible for ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
- Review and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Streamlining and improving accounting systems and current reporting process
- Statutory reporting
Required Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- ACA’s straight from practice will also be considered as well as 2nd time movers.
- Technically strong with a proven background in financial reporting.
- Ability to develop & motivate a team.
- Excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
