This multiple-award winning and truly independent UK Production Group has a reputation for delivering high quality, critically acclaimed and often ground-breaking & cutting-edge content that is popular across the globe.
They now require an experienced and hands-on Senior Production Accountant from a TV background to work on a range of shows. Based in their central London head-office with stellar career opportunities and exposure across the business in a fast-paced, challenging but rewarding, fun and uber-cool environment.
Key Accountabilities:
• Provide financial control of production budgets and expenditure
• Managing production accountancy using SAGE.
• Reviewing cost reports on a regular basis including current spend and projected costs.
• Managing the production ledgers, processing pay runs and correct allocation.
• Managing petty cash and credit card reconciliation.
• Preparing trial balance and cost reports for broadcasters.
• Setting up Cost Managers and additional checking of budgets, as required.
• Managing the production payroll, ensuring auto-enrolment and Schedule D requirements are met.
• Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
• Assisting with Stat and Financial Accounting
• Assisting with Group consolidations
Required Background/Experience:
• Experienced & highly seasoned Production Accountant from TV sector
• Highly proactive with keen attention to detail
• Experience working as a Production Accountant ideally on medium sized productions
• Strong organizational skills, with experience of managing multiple deadlines
• Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, with a strong drive to deliver
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with internal and external customers
• Proactive with a quick understanding of the business and problems
• Highly numerate and analytical
• IT literate with excellent Excel skills, and relevant accounting software skills esp. working with GL reporting and journals (ideally Sage)
